Typically a quilt is made by piecing fabric together to create the design - then the quilt top, batting, and back are quilted together to complete the finished piece. Joanne decided to try something different. She has been beading and embellishing crosses that she then quilts into individual finished pieces. Her plan is to later sew all the individual quilted crosses into an open lattice work to create one large cross.﻿</p>
