Joanne's latest quilt is something completely new. Typically a quilt is made by piecing fabric together to create the design - then the quilt top, batting, and back are quilted together to complete the finished piece. Joanne decided to try something different. She has been beading and embellishing crosses that she then quilts into individual finished pieces. Her plan is to later sew all the individual quilted crosses into an open lattice work to create one large cross.

We have recently been awarded a grant from Animoto which will enable our artists to create video and slideshows for online viewing and for DVD. Gail has been working on putting her portfolio together - so here is a first version of her slideshow.
